Maybe you're a coffee person or maybe you prefer tea or maybe you’re a rare individual who simply wakes up ready to conquer the day!! I know I set my coffee pot to be ready right when I wake up. I don’t quite function until I’ve had a cup or two. But sometimes my skin isn’t always as ready for the day as I am. Did you know that caffeine can help your skin get a boost for the day too?

Our Rise & Shine Coffee Scrub was created with just that in mind. Caffeine is a natural antioxidant that helps to repair and prevent the damage caused by free radicals that contribute to fine lines, wrinkles, saggy or puffy skin. Caffeine can also help improve blood flow to skin. Our Rise & Shine Coffee Scrub delivers caffeine in the most natural form -- Coffee!

While giving your skin the natural boost from caffeine our Rise & Shine Coffee Scrub also makes sure you are not scrubbing away the good stuff. We add Non-GMO Brown Sugar to not only give the power of a second exfoliator, but to help add moisture that we want our skin to keep. The brown sugar acts as a humectant, meaning it attracts water, making sure not to remove the moisture your face needs to keep its glow.

Brown sugar is also a great source of naturally occurring glycolic acid and because of the small sized nature of the molecules they pack a two fold punch. They not only adhere and remove loose skin cells they also promote new growth of healthy skin cells.

Between the coffee grinds and the brown sugar you have a truly powerful, all-natural exfoliator. But it doesn’t stop there. We really wanted to make sure that our Rise & Shine Scrub is not only an effective exfoliator but also leaves your skin feeling refreshed. With this in mind, Golden Jojoba oil was the perfect addition to the Rise & Shine Coffee Scrub. Golden Jojoba Oil is also a humectant and possesses antibacterial properties which aids in the prevention of acne breakouts. It is also packed with Vitamin E, which is great for rejuvenating skin, and is hypoallergenic.

We then decided to go a step further and add in a trifecta of premium Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils Lavender, Frankincense and Cedarwood Atlas.

Lavender Essential Oil is a natural antibacterial agent and can help eliminate and/or reduce acne outbreaks. It’s also known to aid in soothing some skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Makes sense -- that’s why we see lavender used in so many skin and bath products. Regardless of the healthy skin benefits, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t enjoy the scent of Lavender.

Maybe an unexpected match in the scent-sational world of oils is the addition of Frankincense Essential Oil. Frankincense seems to just enhance the floral scent of the Lavender with its own earthy tones and it brings a slew of its own healing properties to the coffee scrub. Did you know that Frankincense is a natural astringent? So not only is Frankincense yet another moisturizing agent, it's also known for being a rejuvenating oil and can help repair acne scars.

Cedarwood Atlas Essential Oil has natural astringent and antiseptic properties. The three together, Lavender, Frankincense and Cedar Atlas Oil, make a trifecta that is not only healing to the skin but also pleasing to the senses.

The Rise & Shine Coffee Scrub is a great addition to our Premium Skin Care Bundle or great used on its own. We recommend using it 2 to 3 a week. It’s not necessary to use daily, but I guarantee you’ll look forward to the days where it is a part of your skin care routine.
