As you may know, last month was our first time partnering with Mary’s Meals. We committed to giving 10% of our sales, and all of our tips during the month of November to feed school children in Zambia. We had no idea that God was going to bless our sales beyond what we imagined last month. We are thrilled to announce that through your purchases we were able to donate enough money to feed 150 school kids (our goal was 100 kids) in Zambia for an entire year!! But WAIT that’s not all! We heard that some generous donors decided to match the donations given to Mary’s Meals on Giving Tuesday. Not only did they match the donations but they multiplied them times 5!! The net result is that Rooted’s donation on Giving Tuesday was instrumental in securing healthy nutrition for 750 school kids in Zambia and beyond! What a blessing - looks like the LORD is still in the business of multiplying food.

We are honored to once again be a part of Mary’s Meals during the month of December. This month 10% of our sales will go to feeding school children in Liberia. Mary’s Meals started as a “campaign that was born in 2002 when Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow visited Malawi during a famine and met a mother dying from AIDS. When Magnus asked her eldest son Edward what his dreams were in life, he replied simply: ‘I want to have enough food to eat and to go to school one day.” Magnus knew he had to do something, so he started off by feeding 200 kids in Malawi and now with Mary’s Meals is now feeding over 2,058,099 children every school day.
