Self Care Made Simple.
Last month, Rooted For Good was honored to partner with Fr. Louis Mersone in Haiti to assist him in his goal of making an impact for the poor in his area through quality education programs that are being done at a local level in order to provide greater access to the poor, reducing the challenges of getting to and from schools which are sometimes not feasible.Â
Fr. Louis introduced us to Maudelaine, a teacher at St. Andrew's school in the Haitian community of Joly, she was willing to live in very simple conditions in order to be there for the children who needed her. Fr. Louis wanted to provide better housing for Maudelaine and all the teachers in Joly (see current housing in February's blog). Rooted For Good was excited to partner with this project to help the teachers at St. Andrews.
We were able to share 10% of our February sales with Fr. Louis, and at the beginning of this month we reached out to get an update on the housing project. Thanks to Rooted’s commitment and additional support Fr. Louis was able to muster, they have moved forward in "breaking ground" on the teacher’s housing. Fr. Louis explained that in Haiti they ceremonially "Bless the First Stone" symbolizing the beginning of the building project. His joy in blessing the first stone was shared by the local builders who will be seeing the project through. Rooted For Good is honored to be part of this mission! Knowing that we want to see this goal through, Rooted For Good is excited to continue our support this month as well. With the cost of construction at record highs in Haiti, our support is all the more critical. In March, we will be donating 10% of our sales towards furthering the housing project for Maudelaine and the teachers of St. Andrews.
If you would like to help even more with this great mission just add an extra "Gift" when checking out and 100% of that gift will go directly to providing Maudelaine and the future teacher’s of St. Andrews suitable housing. Â
Isn’t it incredible to think that your skincare routine can make this kind of impact!? Or that the Rooted essential oils diffused in your home are not only filling the air with a beautiful aroma, but are opening up doors for kids in Haiti! I am hopeful that if we can spread the word and each invite a friend to try Rooted’s amazing all natural line of products, we can raise the total sum needed to complete this new home for Maudelaine and the community of Joly.
Help us share the word, and know that everytime you order from Rooted, your order is uplifting someone else!Â
