What’s all the hype about Blue Tansy?

Because of its numerous skin benefits it’s not surprising that Blue Tansy Essential Oil (Tanacetum annuum) is making a well deserved surge into many skincare products. The top benefits of blue tansy are arguably its anti-inflammatory and acne-clearing properties which are closely followed by its earthy, floral scent.

Why we love it:

Blue Tansy Essential Oil, which is actually derived from a yellow-flowering plant, is made by steam distillation of the branches of the native Mediterranean plant. When steamed the heat activates Chamazulene which gives the oil its deep blue color. It became popular so quickly that it was actually almost harvested to extinction and is now grown and harvested in Morocco. As a result of the high demand and the comparatively low supply Blue Tansy in its pure form make it a rather pricey essential oil.

The anti-inflammatory properties that Blue Tansy Oil possesses come from the plant’s high concentration of both Sabinene and Camphor. Sabinene and Camphor are known to have high anti-inflammatory properties which helps this oil really pack a punch when it comes to taming red, swollen and inflamed skin.

We took all this into account when formulating our Rewind Serum. Our Rewind serum has a generous amount of Blue Tansy oil and we use Sweet Almond Oil as its carrier oil for extra hydration and smooth application. Using these two oils as the baseline for the Rewind Serum we then add Premium Therapeutic Grade Tea Tree, Lavender, Frankincense, Sweet Orange, and Bergamot Essential Oils. When combined together our Rewind Serum has everything you need to soothe red, irritated skin, heal damaged/wrinkled skin, hydrate and repair problem areas around the eyes, mouth, forehead, etc.

We received so many great reviews and feedback from our customers about our Rewind Serum that we started offering a boost of Blue Tansy Essential Oil to any custom made Revive Face Wash. You can still get the original Revive Face Wash (made to your skin type specifications), but you also have the option of adding Blue Tansy Essential Oil to it. It’s a great option for any acne prone skin or those who suffer with rosacea.
